Website Development
Built clean. Built fast. Built to last.
Beautiful design means nothing if the site behind it is slow, fragile or impossible to update. We build websites that load fast, rank well and stay solid for years.
Most websites don’t break all at once. They slow down, pick up plugins, collect workarounds and quietly cost you visitors. We build the opposite: clean code, no bloat and a structure that still makes sense five years from now.
What is website development?
The part of your website nobody sees. And everyone feels.
Website development is the work of turning a design into a fast, secure, working site: the code, the content management system, the integrations and the hosting setup behind every page. It is where good intentions become load times, search rankings and forms that actually reach your inbox.
Our developers build every site from scratch, starting from the website design our team creates for you. Most clients choose custom WordPress so they can edit their own content; others get a fully custom build. Either way, no purchased themes and no page builders.
When a site needs to talk to other systems, we connect it. For Buchner Manufacturing we integrated more than 6,000 products straight from their SYSPRO ERP, so the website updates when the business does.

What our development covers.
Every build is different, but these are the pieces we handle on almost every project.
A faster website is one conversation away.

From approved design to launch day.
Development follows design, but it starts long before. Our developers are in the room during planning, so what gets designed can actually be built well.
-
01Plan
Technical Planning
Before a line of code is written, we choose the platform with you, map the integrations your website needs (forms, booking tools, CRMs, whatever your business runs on) and plan the content structure so everything has a home.
It’s the unglamorous part of website development, and the part that saves the most headaches later. You get a clear technical plan with no mid-build surprises, and we get a blueprint for turning approved designs into a working site.

-
02Build
Development
We build the site from the approved designs, page by page, on a private staging site you can review at any time. No waiting for a big reveal: you can click around, watch progress and flag anything that feels off while it’s still easy to change.
The code is responsive and maintainable, so the site holds up on every screen size and stays easy to update down the road. Once every page is built, it moves into quality assurance.

-
03Test
Quality Assurance
Every page is tested across browsers and devices for speed, accessibility, forms and broken links. We check the things visitors notice, like layout and load times, and the things they don’t, like whether form submissions actually reach your inbox.
Anything that’s off gets fixed before you ever stumble across it. You get a website that behaves properly from the first visit, and we get the confidence to pick a launch date.

-
04Launch
Launch & Redirects
We move your site live and set up redirects from old URLs to protect your rankings, so the search visibility you’ve built doesn’t vanish the day the new site appears. Old links in emails, bookmarks and other websites keep pointing somewhere useful.
After launch, we monitor everything closely, watching for errors, missing pages and anything else that needs a quick fix. Once things have settled in, we hand the keys over to your team.

-
05Support
Training & Care
We show your team how to manage the site: editing pages, adding content and keeping things tidy without needing a developer for every small change. The goal is confidence, not a manual nobody opens.
We also stay on hand for updates, fixes and improvements. Websites need looking after, and it helps when the people who built yours are the ones keeping it secure, current and moving forward as your business grows.

Why businesses trust us with the build.
Designers who understand code and developers who care about design. That’s the difference you’ll notice. Because the same senior team plans, designs and builds your site, nothing gets lost in a handoff, and what you approved in design is what goes live.
No templates, ever
Every site is built from scratch around your brand and your goals. You get only the features and pages you need, with no leftover theme code slowing things down or limiting what’s possible later.
Senior developers
The people who plan your build are the people who build it. You talk directly to the developer writing your code, so questions get real answers and nothing is lost in translation.
Speed is a feature
We measure load times before launch and fix what slows you down. Optimized images, clean code and careful hosting choices help visitors stay, and give search engines one less reason to rank you lower.
Built for your team
You get a site you can manage yourself, without bandaids or plugin overload. Content is set up in clear, labelled sections, and we walk your team through updates before handing over the keys.
We’ve earned some good company. Recognize anyone?
We had an incredibly short and aggressive timeline that Envy Design Co. met, delivering an incredible website. After the websites were launched, leads continued to come in.

They weren’t just cranking out a cookie-cutter website — they really took the time to understand what we do and what makes us different. The attention to detail they put into the design and the branding was incredible.

They were really good at explaining why they did what they did. Michael and Natashya were amazing partners in building our site.

Frequently asked questions.
What platform do you build websites on?
Most of our sites are custom WordPress builds, which give your team full control over content. For businesses that don't need to self-edit and want maximum speed, we also build fully custom sites. We'll recommend the right fit during planning.
With WordPress, we build a custom theme rather than using a pre-made one, so the editor matches your content and the site stays lean. Fully custom builds suit businesses that would rather hand updates to us and want the fastest possible performance. For online stores, we'll also talk through e-commerce platform options. The right choice depends on who will update the site, how often, and what it needs to do, so we'll ask plenty of questions before recommending anything.
Can you work with a design we already have?
Yes, if it's ready to build. We'll review it first and flag anything that will cause problems for speed, accessibility or editing. Most clients have us handle both design and development so nothing is lost in translation.
When we review an existing design, we look for missing states like hover, error and mobile layouts, inconsistencies that would make templates harder to build, colour contrast issues and anything that would be difficult for your team to edit later. If we find gaps, we'll suggest fixes before development starts, which saves time and money. Having one team for website design and development is still our recommendation, but we're happy to build a solid design from your in-house team or another studio.
Can you integrate our CRM, ERP or booking system?
Usually, yes. We have connected websites to CRMs, ERPs like SYSPRO, booking tools, payment gateways and email platforms. Tell us what you use and we'll confirm what's possible.
Integrations are where website development gets interesting, and where planning matters most. We'll look at what your system offers, whether that's an API, a plugin or a data export, and how information needs to flow between it and your website. Then we'll recommend the simplest reliable approach. Some integrations are straightforward; others need more custom work, which affects scope and cost. We'll be clear about that in your quote, so you know exactly what's being connected and how it will work.
Will my new website be good for SEO?
We build the technical foundations of SEO into every site: fast load times, clean code, structured data, proper headings, redirects from your old URLs and a sitemap. Ongoing SEO strategy is available as a separate service.
Those foundations matter because search engines need to crawl, understand and trust your site before content can rank. Clean development makes that easier, and redirects protect the visibility you've already built if you're replacing an old website. We also make sure your team can edit page titles and meta descriptions. What we can't do is guarantee rankings, since they depend on competition, content and authority over time. If you want help with keyword research and content, our SEO and strategy service picks up from there.
How much does website development cost?
Custom websites at Envy start at $15,000 for design and development together, and scale based on the number of pages, features and integrations. Every project is quoted individually.
Website development cost depends mostly on complexity. A marketing site with a handful of templates is quicker to build than one with CRM or ERP integrations, custom calculators, member areas or e-commerce. Content migration and multilingual requirements can also add work. Because we handle design and development together, you get one quote that covers the whole build, rather than two separate bills that don't quite line up. Tell us about your project and we'll send a clear, itemized quote.
Do you offer support after launch?
Yes. We offer website maintenance plans that cover updates, backups, security monitoring and small changes, so your site stays fast and secure.
Launching a website is the start, not the finish. Software updates, security patches and occasional fixes are part of keeping any website healthy, and it helps to have the team who built it looking after it. Our maintenance plans also include time for small content or design changes, which is useful as your business grows. If you'd prefer to manage things in-house, we'll train your team before launch and remain available for support when needed. We'll talk through the options before your site goes live.
