NuVista Mental Health
Website design for NuVista Mental Health, a Canadian network of 22+ clinics, with dedicated paths for veterans, ADHD care and every location.

01 — The network
From one base psychiatrist to a national network
NuVista Mental Health started with a simple observation. CEO Dr. Mark Johnston, a psychiatrist who once served as base psychiatrist at 14 Wing Greenwood, saw how hard it was for patients, and especially for retired Canadian Armed Forces members, to find therapy once they left his office. So he teamed up with a psychologist, then other like-minded clinicians, and kept building.
Today NuVista has more than 22 locations across 7 provinces, plus virtual care anywhere in Canada. It offers therapy for every age, assessments, neurofeedback, an ADHD treatment program, insomnia care and dedicated programs for veterans, RCMP and first responders. Some clinics even operate under different names. NuVista needed a website that could hold all of that and still feel like one calm, trustworthy place to ask for help.

02 — Design
Rooted in the landscape
NuVista's tagline is "Whole-person mental health care, rooted in you," and we took the word rooted literally. The site opens on a mountain trail, the veterans page on a still lake, the locations page on an evergreen forest. Every hero sits under the same deep teal wash, so photography from coast to coast feels like one place.
The palette comes from the same outdoors: forest teal, sage, sand and sky, with a soft peach saved for the moments that need a nudge. Headlines use a gentle, bookish serif, and body copy stays in a clean, highly readable sans, because people reading about their mental health deserve text that's easy on the eyes.

03 — Veterans
Built for veterans, backed by clinicians
Veterans were part of NuVista's story from the start, so they got their own section of the site, not a single paragraph. The veterans pages explain the support available in plain language, walk through how the program works step by step, from intake to ongoing support, and list what veteran-focused therapy can help with, from PTSD to loss of purpose after service.
A dedicated FAQ and enquiry form handle the practical side, including Veterans Affairs Canada paperwork, so a veteran can get started without wading through bureaucracy.

04 — Locations
Every clinic, easy to find
A national network lives or dies on its locations pages. Visitors can filter clinics by province and city, and each clinic card shows a real photo of the building, the address, phone, fax and email. Every clinic also has its own page, so someone in Fredericton or Regina lands on care that's clearly local, the same structure we recommend in multi-location clinic websites.
The homepage brings it all together in a single, friendly map section, with real clinicians pinned to the places they work.

05 — The result
Calm, at national scale
NuVista now has a website that feels like a single, steady presence, whether you're a parent looking for ADHD support in London, Ontario, a first responder in Alberta or a veteran in New Brunswick. More than 70 page designs share one component system, so new clinics, programs and landing pages can be added quickly without losing that calm.
