Marketing Collateral Design

Sales tools that close the gap.

Sell sheets, one-pagers, case studies and leave-behinds that explain what you do in seconds and make your sales team look as good as your product.

Your sales team only gets a few minutes. Your marketing materials keep working long after the meeting ends, on desks, in inboxes and passed around boardrooms. They should be every bit as convincing as your best pitch.

What is marketing collateral?

Everything your sales team hands over.

Marketing collateral is the set of materials that support sales: sell sheets, product one-pagers, brochures, case studies, capability statements, pitch decks and leave-behinds. Good collateral makes your offer easy to understand and easy to share.

We design collateral as a system, so every piece looks related and your team can create new ones quickly. For Spare Labs we designed a full series of product sell sheets; for Cultivate, customer case study sheets that sit alongside their website.

Collateral works best when the story behind it is clear. That’s why we often start with brand positioning and messaging.

How we build sales materials.

Clear message first, then the design that sells it.

    Discover

    Audience & Message

We learn who you sell to and what they need to hear to say yes. That means understanding your buyers, their hesitations and the questions your sales team hears again and again.

Sales materials work best when they answer those questions before anyone asks. With a clear picture of your audience and core message, we can shape marketing collateral that supports real sales conversations, not just looks nice on a boardroom table.

    Content & Structure

We shape the content so the most important points land first. Busy buyers skim, so the benefits, the proof and the next step need to be easy to spot at a glance.

We can edit and reorganize your existing copy or help fill in what’s missing. A clear structure makes your sales collateral far more persuasive, and it gives the design a solid foundation to build on in the next step.

    Design System

We design the first piece and a system for the rest. Whether you need sell sheets, brochures, case studies or proposals, they should all look like they come from the same confident company.

Starting with one flagship piece lets us test the look and refine it with your feedback. The system that comes out of it makes every future piece quicker to produce and keeps your sales materials consistent across the board.

    Print & Digital Files

Print-ready files, interactive PDFs and editable templates. Print files are set up with proper bleed and colour for professional printing, while interactive PDFs are easy to attach to an email or share from your website.

Editable templates let your team update details or spin up new versions without starting from scratch or breaking the design. The result is a set of marketing materials your sales team will actually reach for.

Collateral that sells.

We design for the moment someone decides. Sell sheets, one-pagers, case studies and leave-behinds should explain what you do in seconds, answer the questions buyers bring to the table and give your sales team something they’re proud to hand over or send after a meeting.

Message first

We fix the story before we design the page. Together we sharpen the headline, benefits and proof points, so each piece makes its case quickly and clearly.

Consistent system

Every piece looks like part of one family. Shared layouts, type and colour make your materials instantly recognizable, whether a prospect sees one sheet or the whole set.

Easy to update

Templates your team can edit without breaking the design. Prices, specs and contact details change, and you can update them yourself instead of waiting on a designer every time.

Print-perfect

Files are prepared properly for every printer, plus digital versions for email. Your collateral looks just as sharp as a PDF attachment as it does printed on good stock.

Frequently asked questions.

What is marketing collateral?

Materials that support sales and marketing, such as sell sheets, brochures, case studies, capability statements, presentations and leave-behinds.

Marketing collateral is what your team hands over, sends or presents to help prospects understand your business and make a decision. Good collateral answers the questions buyers have at each stage, from a quick overview at a trade show to detailed case studies when they're comparing options. Design matters because these pieces often represent you when you're not in the room. Consistent, clear marketing collateral design makes your business look organized and credible, and helps your sales team tell the same story every time.

Can you write the copy as well?

Yes. We can write, edit or work from your content, and we always make sure the message is clear before design starts.

Marketing collateral works best when the words and design are planned together. If we're writing, we'll learn about your offer, your customers and the questions your sales team hears most, then write copy that's concise and persuasive without sounding like a sales pitch. If you have drafts, we'll edit for clarity and structure. Settling the message first saves time, because design built around clear content needs fewer changes later. You review and approve all copy before anything goes to print or out to prospects.

Do you create editable templates?

Yes. We can set up templates in the tools your team uses so new pieces stay on brand.

Editable templates are useful for collateral you update often, like sell sheets, case studies, proposals and presentations. We design the layout, styles and rules, then build templates in tools such as PowerPoint, Word, Google Slides, Canva or InDesign, depending on who's doing the editing. Locked elements and clear placeholders make it hard to accidentally break the design. That lets your sales and marketing teams create new pieces quickly without waiting on a designer, while everything still looks consistent and professional.

Do you design for print or digital?

Both. We prepare print-ready files and digital versions, including interactive PDFs.

Most marketing collateral needs to work in both worlds. A brochure might be printed for events and also emailed to prospects; a capability statement might be handed over at meetings and downloaded from your website. We design with both uses in mind, preparing print files to your printer's specifications and digital versions optimized for screens and file size. Interactive PDFs can include clickable links, navigation and buttons, which make longer documents easier to use. We'll recommend formats based on how your team actually shares materials.

How much does marketing collateral design cost?

It depends on the number of pieces and how much content work is needed. We quote each project individually.

A single sell sheet using existing content is a small project; a full suite of brochures, case studies, capability statements and presentation templates with new copy is a much bigger one. Other factors include page counts, print and digital versions, editable templates and photography or illustration needs. Designing a set of materials together is often more efficient than one piece at a time, since they share a common system. Tell us what you need and we'll send a clear quote for your marketing collateral design.
