Case study · KRB Mechanical Ltd.
KRB Mechanical
A dark, red-accented WordPress website for KRB Mechanical, a North Bay heating, cooling, refrigeration and sheet metal contractor serving homes and businesses since 1991.

01 — Context
A North Bay name since 1991
KRB Mechanical has been heating, cooling and ventilating North Bay since 1991. It's one of the largest privately owned mechanical contractors in the area, with a licensed team of more than 15 trades people serving the Nipissing and Parry Sound districts. The work goes well beyond furnaces: commercial rooftop units, refrigeration, design-build projects and a full custom sheet metal shop.
Their website needed to show all of that, and make it simple for two very different visitors: a homeowner whose furnace just quit, and a facility manager planning a new build. We designed and built a new website that speaks to both.

02 — The look
Dark, solid and unmistakably red
KRB's red-and-white logo already had plenty of history in North Bay, so we built the site around it. Deep charcoal backgrounds give the photography room to breathe and make the red pop. The red does the work: the 24-hour emergency line across the top of every page, the Book Service button, and the four service tiles that sit right under the hero.
Headlines are set in a sturdy slab serif that feels at home on a work truck, paired with a clean sans for body copy. Subtle angled section breaks, cut like sheet metal, keep long pages moving without adding clutter.

03 — Structure
Four front doors, one phone number
The homepage gets straight to the point: "Your North Bay & Area HVAC Experts," a short line on 33 years in business, and four big tiles for Residential, Commercial, Design Builds and Custom Sheet Metal. Each tile opens a page written for that audience, with its own hero, services, gallery of real KRB jobs and a clear call to book.
Behind them sits everything a growing contractor needs: About, Financing with both Financeit and Jocova, an FAQ, Careers with individual job postings and résumé uploads, and a Book Service form that asks for the service, preferred day and time. In all, 15 page designs. It's the approach we lay out in HVAC service pages that rank.

04 — Residential
The Lennox line-up, front and centre
As a Lennox dealer, KRB sells some of the best equipment on the market, so the Residential page treats it like a showroom. The Dave Lennox Signature, Elite and Merit collections each get a product shot and a brochure link, followed by six services with simple red icons: furnace, air conditioning, air quality, heat pump, ductless cooling and hydronic heating.
The homepage backs that up with a Lennox rebate banner, and financing sits one click away for anyone weighing a big purchase.

05 — Commercial and sheet metal
Real jobs, real photos
On the commercial side, stock photos only go so far. The Commercial, Design Build and Custom Sheet Metal pages each end with a gallery of KRB's own work: rooftop units, lifts inside steel buildings and the KRB van parked on a snowy job site.
Those photos do more than any adjective could. They show a contractor that fabricates its own ductwork and handles big installs across the region, the kind of trust signals that win commercial bids.

06 — The result
Built like the company
KRB Mechanical now has a website that feels like the company behind it: established, practical and proud of its work. Homeowners find their service and a phone number in seconds, commercial clients see the scale of what KRB handles, and job seekers can apply without leaving the site. We built it on WordPress, so the team can add jobs, photos and promotions themselves.
