01 — Context

Home builder email design that moves inventory

Homes by Dream builds single family homes and townhomes in master-planned communities in Saskatchewan, including Stonebridge, the Greens, Hawkstone and Beacon Manor in Harbour Landing. They needed a series of email communications to send to their leads — people who had registered interest in a community, and Realtors who bring buyers through the showhomes.

New-home emails have a specific job. Builders have particular homes, at particular addresses, available at particular times, and the email has to make one of them feel like the right next step. Our home builder email design focused on getting the essentials — model, price, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage and location — in front of a reader within a single scroll.

02 — Home of the Month

A reusable listing card

The centrepiece of the series is a recurring Home of the Month feature. Each issue spotlights one model — here, the Bartlett at 619 Kolynchuk Court in the Stonebridge Community — and invites readers to "Move in Now."

We designed a listing card that does most of the work: a large orange model name, a three-column strip for bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage, and a location pin with the address. Around that card, the email adds a short description of the home and photographs of the kitchen, living room, bathroom or bedroom.

We built several versions of the layout so the team could match the content they had each month. One leads with a blue-tinted exterior and a lifestyle interior; another sets the card against a full-colour exterior rendering; a third opens with the main floor plan so buyers can see the open-concept living, dining and kitchen at a glance. The structure stays familiar, which helps returning readers find what they need quickly.

03 — Campaigns

Seasonal offers and a Realtor invitation

Alongside the monthly feature, we designed one-off campaigns with a stronger personality. "New year. New savings." pairs heavy purple type with a gold key in a keyhole, leads with a Turnkey Move-in Package offer, then lists available homes in a two-column grid of the same listing cards, each tagged Available Immediately or Available in May.

"Move in this CHRISTMAS" wraps a rendering of Beacon Manor townhomes in candy canes and a red bow, with a "New showhomes opening soon!" tag, a short community story and a bulleted features list. Its footer carries the sales centre address, phone number and social links.

For Realtor partners, the Exclusive VIP Wine & Cheese Event email sets a dark wood-and-wine photograph behind a white invitation card, with the date, time, showhome addresses and RSVP details in a soft peach panel and an orange RSVP NOW! button. Every email ends with one clear action — the principle behind design that moves people to action.

04 — The result

A system the sales team can reuse

Homes by Dream ended up with a family of email templates rather than a set of one-offs. The listing card, typography, orange and purple accents, and footer carry across every message, so a new campaign is a matter of swapping in a model, a photo and an offer.

For builders and developers in construction and real estate, that kind of repeatable system keeps marketing consistent between launches. See also our work for Glen Agar, and the email campaigns we designed for Talon Lodge.
