A coordinated set of marketing materials for Meyer Service & Supply of Long Sault, Ontario: a MEYCare service contract brochure and lab instrument sell sheets.
01 — Context
Brochure and sell sheet design for a lab instrument supplier
Meyer Service & Supply Ltd. (MSS) is based in Long Sault, Ontario, and supplies, certifies and services laboratory instruments — including analyzers used to test milk, cream and protein. They needed a series of marketing materials that could work for potential clients, new business ventures and shipments to existing customers.
The brief was open-ended, so we started by sorting out what each piece had to do. A service brochure needed to explain maintenance plans clearly enough to close a contract. Product sell sheets needed to make a technical instrument understandable at a glance. And all of it needed to look like it came from the same company. That combination of brochure and sell sheet design became a small, coordinated system.
02 — MEYCare
Making a service contract easy to choose
MEYCare is Meyer's line of preventative maintenance service contracts. The brochure treats it as a product in its own right: the MEYCare name — a bold MEY, a script "Care" and a red maple leaf — leads the cover, so the program feels like something a lab can buy, not a line item on an invoice.
The cover leads with three instruments on a deep blue photographic background, finished with a curved green and white swoosh. Inside, the spread is organized around a decision: "Choose the Right Plan for Your Needs and Your Budget." Two plan tiers, Stay Accurate and Stay Accurate, Be Ready, are introduced with icons, then compared in a checkmark table across factory and field service plans. Features and benefits sit in side-by-side columns, and a labelled instrument diagram shows exactly what the factory plan covers.
The back cover summarizes plan details and additional options, closing with the MEYER.CA address and social handles.
03 — Sell sheets
One template, many instruments
For the product side, we designed a sell sheet template Meyer could reuse across its catalogue, starting with two instruments: the Astori Tecnica CryoTouch 1, "The Next-Gen Cryoscope," and the OPSIS LiquidLINE KjelROC Analyzer, "The Next-Gen Kjeldahl System."
Each sheet follows the same structure. A navy header carries the product name, with the brochure's blue-and-green swoosh sweeping beneath it. A large product photo sits on the left; on the right, the manufacturer's logo, a bold benefit headline and a short paragraph. Three simple icons pick out key capabilities, and a pale blue panel lists the new features and model options. The footer repeats the MSS logo, MEYER.CA, social handles and the Long Sault address.
Because the layout is fixed, the KjelROC sheet could carry a timely promotion — trade-in allowances on an upgrade — without breaking the system. The CryoTouch 1 also got a reverse side with technical specifications, consumables and software screenshots.
04 — The result
Coordinated pieces that work together
Meyer now has marketing collateral that can travel together: a sales rep can hand over the MEYCare brochure with the relevant sell sheet, or drop both into a shipment to an existing customer, and they read as a set. Shared colours, swooshes, icons and footers do that work quietly — the value of a cohesive brand in practice.
