Deloitte DFX
A distinct look and a full set of training materials for Deloitte Facilitator Excellence (DFX): presentations, a fold-out brochure, posters, worksheets and a pin.

01 — Context
Corporate training materials design for Deloitte's facilitators
Facilitator Excellence, known as DFX, is an internal Deloitte team that trains the people who teach. Its facilitators run live and virtual classrooms, and DFX needed materials that would help them learn and apply new techniques. DFX asked us for corporate training materials design that would support that work.
The team had two needs. It lacked a look of its own to stand apart from other internal teams, and its content needed to be easier to digest. Our project gave DFX a distinct look and feel within Deloitte's brand, then carried it through a leave-behind brochure for participants, workshop posters and worksheets, a custom lapel pin and a series of PowerPoint presentations used throughout the learning experience.
02 — The brochure
Four techniques, one fold-out
The leave-behind brochure had to sum up the course in something participants would keep. We designed it as a fold-out with four panels, one for each technique: Storytelling, Simulation Coaching, Socratic Questioning and Co-Facilitation. Each panel has a large numeral, a short pull-quote and a set of practical tips, and moves through a gradient from deep navy to blue, teal and green as the reader unfolds it.
The cover shows one hand passing a green apple to another, a simple image of a teacher handing something on. Green carries through all the DFX materials as the accent colour, keeping them recognisably Deloitte while giving the team its own visual signature.
Our brochure design kept every panel to the same rhythm, so a facilitator can return to it mid-session and find a tip in seconds. Short pull-quotes at the top of each panel, set in large type with oversized quotation marks, give each technique a memorable line before the detail.

03 — Slides and print
Warm, human and easy to follow
Training content is often dense: global alignment approaches, summaries of changes, structured questions. In the slides, we broke it into colour-coded tables, radial charts and Venn diagrams, and used question cards for broad, technical and follow-up questions so facilitators can see the pattern at a glance. Every slide carries a small DFX tag and the Deloitte logo in the footer, tying the team's materials back to the wider firm.
Photography does a lot of the emotional work. We used warm portraits of smiling people on soft grey backgrounds, often with a touch of green in their clothing, and paired them with short quotes. The "DFX Live Classroom" graphic sets a Confucius quote, "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand", beside a facilitator, which sums up the team's learning-by-doing approach.
The same system extended to workshop posters, worksheets and a custom lapel pin. We also handled the print process, liaising with DFX's print house so the finished pieces matched the files. For an earlier Deloitte project, see the veterans resource guide, and for another workshop programme, our materials for Marriott M+E. More professional services work is in our portfolio.
